Dear 1st Year Student:
I am pleased to welcome you to the 2017-2018 academic year at Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education. You have chosen a program with an excellent reputation whose roots go back over 45 years to the beginnings of early childhood education as a profession and academic discipline in Nova Scotia. The faculty, staff and I hope you will find this year engrossing, stimulating and challenging. You are entering a professional program that will challenge and change you profoundly over the next two years. Below you will find some information to help you prepare for your first year of study.
Please note: you will not be able to begin this program without the Child Abuse Registry and the Vulnerable Sector Check completed and submitted to NSCECE by August 1, 2017.

Make the best of student life with NSCECE Mobile App
Great news! NSCECE has a free Mobile APP to help students find out about campus events, academic information, and to connect with NSCECE classmates. Go to the Play Store or Apple Store on your device and type in NSCECE to download the app. The APP will help you organize your student life and includes:

You are required to keep us current with your e-mail address, it is the primary way we correspond with you. Using your e-mail address, you will be able to access Campuslogin which allows you to view your profile, see your grades, print tax forms and transcripts. Notify the office at [email protected] to update.
Class Schedules & Textbooks:
Books are approximately $700 for the year. If you are waiting for student loan money, you will need to secure interim financing to pay for books. Textbooks will not be issued without payment. Class schedule and a list of books can be found on the Current Students tab or on the NSCECE Mobile App.
If you are paying by Canada Student Loan, please bring your student loan status report with you to register.
If you are being sponsored by a 3rd party (i.e, Service Canada), please bring your signed contract.
