On top of our regular
workshop schedule,
NSCECE is offering some exciting specialized PD opportunities this Fall!

All Together Now! Inclusion Support Group

childrens-hands-1-1330423-mA facilitated learning community for  those interested in supporting the inclusion process within their centres and in the larger community. We meet the last Monday of each month from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at NSCECE.

A Cycle of Inquiry: Community of Practice

A community of practice for early childhood educators interested in investigating their work together. The group uses various protocols, research questions, examination of documentation, and critical friends processes to develop skills and understanding about teaching, and learning in the early years. This group will interest those using shared inquiry or an emergent approach to curriculum development. One group meets on occasional Saturdays from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. With enough interest a monthly weekday group will also be established.

One of the best ways to appreciate “the possible” in early childhood education is to step outside your local context to see and learn about how others approach this complex work. The Values in Practice panel discussion brings together six Nova Scotia based Early Childhood Educators who have recently had the opportunity to participate in study tours where they got to do just that. Come out and be part of the
Values in Practice
learning panel on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 7:00!
