This October NSCECE is proud to be hosting a special PD event with keynote speaker Ann Pelo! Ann Pelo is a teacher educator, program consultant and author whose primary work focuses on Reggio-inspired, social justice and ecological teaching and learning…Ann works with early childhood educators and administrators in North America, Australia and New Zealand, thinking with them about inquiry-based teaching and learning, pedagogical leadership and the necessary place of ecological identity in children’s—and adults’—lives” (From her Join Us in Welcoming Ann Pelo to Nova Scotia biographical statement)
Ann’s address will center on creating a pedagogical practice to grow a culture of inquiry in early childhood education. Following this, there will be a book signing opportunity, as well as wine, cheese, and time to meet and greet. All this is happening Friday, October 18 from 7:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m. at the Waterfront campus of the NSCC. Seating is limited, so register now!
