Dear 2nd Year Students:
I hope your summer is going well, and you are enjoying some well-deserved (relaxing) time away from your studies. I anticipate the next year of your studies will prove to be stimulating and successful as you work toward graduation. Below you will find some information to help you prepare for your second year of study.
|Student Registration||August 21 - 25||Monday, Tuesday and Friday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm|
Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
|College is open to students for registering, paying tuition, textbooks and taking ID photos. Please bring your SIN number with you to register. ID's will not be released until student fee of $125 is paid|
|Tuition Fees||$5870 per year $2935 first semester||Cheques, money orders (payable to Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education), cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, PayPal or student loan confirmation are acceptable.|
|Textbooks||Approx. $500||Cheques, money orders (payable to Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education), cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, PayPal or student loan confirmation are acceptable.|
|Orientation||September 5||9:00 am to 11:00 am||Orientation for 2nd year students, attendance is required.|

|Practicum Orientation||September 13||2:30 pm to 4:30 pm||Attendance is required.|
|Student Extravaganza!||September 20||11:00 am start time||Fun activities at the Commons; followed by Pizza Lunch!|

You are required to keep us current with your e-mail address, it is the primary way we correspond with you. Using your e-mail address, you will be able to access Campuslogin which allows you to view your profile, see your grades, print tax forms and transcripts. Notify the office at email@example.com to update.
Class Schedules & Textbooks:
Books are approximately $500 for the year. If you are waiting for student loan money, you will need to secure interim financing to pay for books. Textbooks will not be issued without payment. Class schedule and a list of books can be found on the Current Students tab or on the NSCECE Mobile App.
There is a practicum orientation on September 13, 2017 and you are required to attend.
You will need copies of your Child Abuse Registry and Vulnerable Sector Check for your 3rd and 4th Practicum Placements. More Practicum Information Here
