The academic year is kicking into gear, and soon students will be getting ready to start their practicum placements. Work experience is an integral part of the education process; students have the opportunity to put what they learn in the classroom into practice, and get the chance to learn from the children as well as mentors working in the early childhood education field. Doing four placements throughout the duration of the program allows students to enter the workforce upon graduation having a variety of experiences under their belt.

There are often a lot of questions, both from students and our partners in the community, about practicum. For students,
the orientation is the best place to start. We also have answers to
frequently asked questions on our website. You can also find more information and required forms.
For our
practicum sites and advisors, we also have a section with everything you need to know!

We hope that as our students become part of the team at their practicum sites they will build relationships that will help them throughout their career. All the best to you all in your placements!
